Pathway Outreach Ministries’ Monthly Update
I thank you all for standing with us in concern, prayer and financial support. In July, Pathway Outreach Ministries will turn twenty-nine years old. I was only a mere child of thirty-nine then. At the time, perhaps some may have thought it a fleeting fancy of a young zealot—I would not have blamed them for having such thoughts. I do not claim to have kept it alive this long; it is by God’s grace and provision we have made it to this mark. The sails have fluttered a few times, but God blew upon us to carry us over the waves. I thank God and give Him all the credit and glory. We have never sought to be anything other than a instrument in God’s hand.
Thank you all for blessing us. We have had 348 miracle months in the life of this ministry. God has provided manna and our sandals have not worn out. We have just tried to follow the cloud by day and the fire by night. This is the only paradigm of ministry I know to pursue.
Haiti: There are many good and God fearing people in Haiti, but the country has fallen under the control of many evil men. According to a recent news report, eighty percent of the capital of Haiti (Port-au-Prince) is under the control of gangs. The United Nations reports that there have been more civilians killed than in Ukraine in the first four months of 2023. It is a war zone. Transportation of goods and services are greatly hampered. Our small compound in Bossier where the school and church are located is a little oasis from the tribulation. Pastor Baptiste and staff are working hard to make it so. The church will celebrate its twenty-fourth year anniversary this month with twenty-four days of prayer and worship leading up to Sunday, June 25th.
School Uniforms: We are still receiving funds for school uniforms and books for our upcoming school year in Haiti. It takes about $15/student to get them started in a new school year ($150 will help 10 students). We have over 400 students. Donations of any amount needs to be made payable to Pathway Outreach Ministries and note with the donation for “UNIFORMS”.
Book Update: (Journey of the Messiah: The Awakening) I will have a book signing at the Sardis City Public Library on June 8th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The library is located at 1310 Church Street near the high school. If your church would like for me to come speak and/or have a book signing in June or July, please contact me. You can also order a book at WestBowPress.com or Amazon. It is also available on e-book formats such as Kindle or Nook.
Eglise Porte Etroite: Our affiliated Haitian Church in Albertville just obtained another church building in Albertville giving them two locations for ministry. They have really thrived and have always been self-supporting. Pastor Johny Pierre Charles has led this church well.
Other Corners of the World: Our partners in these difficult places work tirelessly for the Gospel of Christ. They are in some of the more oppressed places in the world for Christians. For most of them, I do not share their photos on social media or our other internet platforms for their security and our ability to help them. The light of Christ shines the brightest in the darkest of regions of the world.
We appreciate your prayers and financial support of our work in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…
Yours on the Journey,
Harry L. Whitt
