Journey Update: March 2023
There is natural and spiritual bread. In John’s Gospel, Jesus fed a multitude of five thousand with five barley loaves and two small fish taking up leftovers that filled twelve baskets. Later as people flocked to him asking for a sign and desiring another bread miracle, Jesus told them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35 NKJV).
It seems as a ministry, the provision of bread is always before us. The spiritual and the physical bread. The bread of Jesus that feeds a hungry soul to everlasting life always needs to be the main focus. A starving Lazarus who dies and enters Heaven is better than a selfish rich man who dies and enters Hell.
We do not have to decide what kind of bread we distribute because Jesus demonstrated both, the giving of natural and spiritual bread. Yes, we need to provide both, the spiritual bread that feeds hungry souls and the natural bread that feeds hungry bellies.
Each week we help about 500 people with physical bread (food). The line of this ministry goes out into the world with the message of Jesus, potentially reaching thousands of people. Everything else we do is in support of that.
I cannot tell you the times I have boarded a plane for home with the gnawing, not of my hungry belly, but the gnawing of my soul for the task of feeding souls with the message of Jesus and feeding bellies with bread. Knowing my limitations, I feel like the disciples with a small basket of five loaves and two fish and hearing Jesus say, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat” (Matt. 14:16 NKJV). Then, I look to the One who feeds birds.
Book Update: (Journey of the Messiah: The Awakening) Hallelujah! After zillions of hours, my book is finished. I have approved the final proofs of the cover and interior design which includes the proof of the entire manuscript as it appears in the book. It is now in production and I am planning a book launch in April. I pray it will bless many people and magnify Jesus who is the subject of the book. I will be sending more information.
We appreciate your support of all we try to do. You supply the flour for the bread, Holy Spirit measures in the oil, we break it, and pass it out to the world.
Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…
Yours on the Journey,
